Grooming requires handling on a different level from what a puppy experiences in everyday life. The Pawsitive Puppy program starts as 3 months old to help your puppy get comfortable with the grooming experience and become a well-versed spa dog. We start with an introductory evaluation and continue with appointments scheduled weekly to bi-weekly. Your stylist will provide a progress report and homework at each appointment. Once a comfortable experience has been established they can visit bi-weekly to monthly depending on your individual puppies needs. All puppies are enrolled in the Pawsitive Puppy Program until they are 1.5 years old.

As dogs age they become more achy, their joints have more limitation, they may be more prone to stress, and they usually have trouble standing for longer periods of time; just like us! The Sensitive Senior program is designed with their limitations and comfort in mind, and may include breaks or splitting appointments into multiple visits, depending on your dog's needs.

Introductory evaluation will determine your seniors comfort level and needs. Some sensitive seniors do well in 30 minute increments with one stylist, while others require one stylist to hold and soothe and another to provide active grooming services. The sensitive Senior program is highly flexible and based on each individual pets needs.

For pets who have anxiety for toenail trimming we use our desensitization and rehabilitation techniques to help them overcome their fears and become confident with their nail appointments.

$90 per .5 hour

When a dog's anxiety level is at the top end of the scale and they react to grooming in an intense or aggressive way, or when their actions could lead to injuring themselves or the groomer, we require a rehabilitation program.

Rehabilitation is only provided by expert stylists with extensive grooming experience and comprehensive continuing education and training in order to meet our high standards of care. Our long-term career stylists (10 years or more grooming experience) have the choice to opt in to becoming rehabilitation groomers and receive additional dog behavior and rehabilitation technique training. Appointment frequency and length are determined by the stylist, with a required 6-month commitment to start.

A customized program to assist dogs 6+ months old in becoming comfortable with the grooming experience. We work on building a trusting relationship with your dog, and gradually increasing their tolerance for the parts of grooming they are uncomfortable with. Starting with weekly or bi-weekly appointments for a 6-month period, we graduate them from this program when they are comfortable with all aspects of grooming, or when they reach a remediation level that the owner, pet, and stylist agree on.

For pets who have reached a level of desensitization or rehabilitation that the owner, pet, and stylist have agreed upon, to maintain progress.

Our VIP program was created to help our regular clients have the priority scheduling frequency they deserve. Yearly appointments are booked in advance at a minimum of every 6 weeks, and our VIP’s receive special benefits including one fee waived annually, a complimentary spa service at every appointment and a complimentary birthday package their birth month. Open enrollment is August-October of the year prior.
